We respect your data. This policy explains what we collect when you buy tickets or create an account on The Social Dance Hub, why we collect it, and your rights under the GDPR.
1. What we collect
For tickets: name, email address, optionally phone and dance role (lead/follow), meaning the details that appear on the ticket.
For accounts: your sign-in email and profile preferences.
For payment: payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
2. Why we use it
To issue and deliver your tickets, contact you if an event changes, validate the ticket at the door, and show your order history in your account.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Cookies
We use no tracking, analytics, or marketing cookies.
We only use strictly necessary cookies: your sign-in session (so you stay logged in) and functional preferences stored locally in your browser (for example language). Strictly necessary cookies require no consent banner under ePrivacy rules.
4. Who we share it with
Only with providers strictly required to operate the platform: Stripe for payment processing, plus hosting and email-delivery services, all GDPR-compliant and acting as processors.
5. How long we keep it
Order data is retained as required by tax law. Your account and profile are kept until you request deletion.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You can delete your account directly in the app (Profile → Delete account) or write to us at contact@thesocialdancehub.ro.
